Clearly Drinks

In June 2024, Supreme announced the acquisition of Acorn Topco Limited, the parent company of Clearly Drinks Limited, a long-established and well-known UK manufacturer of specialised canned and bottled-at-source spring water and soft drinks.

Alongside manufacturing its own brands and providing private and own label beverages for supermarkets and discounters, Clearly Drinks is a contract manufacturer for a number of the world’s largest soft drinks companies.

2024

FoodIQ Holdings Ltd

Supreme PLC is delighted to announce the acquisition of FoodIQ Holdings Limited (“Food IQ”), the protein manufacturer. This acquisition enables Supreme to provide our fast growing sports nutrition & wellness division with the manufacturing capacity required to meet growing demand.

2023

Sci-MX Rebrand

In November 2023, Supreme relaunched its flagship sports nutrition range Sci-Mx. New products joined existing favourites with a fresh new look ready for 2024 and entered into a partnership with Savannah Marshal, an accomplished British Professional Boxer with world championships in two weight classes.

Sealions + Sesame Street

In March 2023, Supreme launched our new Kids Multivitamin Gummies in partnership with Sesame Street!

Sugar-free and vegan-friendly, our expert formula is designed for children aged 4+, with 8 essential vitamins supporting their immunity, growth and development.

88vape hits a huge milestone

Also in March 2023, 88vape received its one millionth order! Supreme would like to thank all our customers for helping us reach this point.

We’re expanding

In 2023, Supreme moved our warehousing operations to a new site. Our over-arching priority throughout this process was to maintain our exceptional service levels and ensure our customers did not experience any disruption to supply before, during or after our move.

2022

Cuts Ice

In August 2022, Supreme announced the acquisition of vaping manufacturer Cuts Ice and e-liquid business Flavour Core as well as purchasing the trade assets. Cuts Ice’s vape brand ‘T Juice,’ with the single flavour ‘Red Astaire,’ achieved significant brand recognition in continental European markets, which will add geographic diversity to Supreme’s customer base.

2022

SCI-MX Limited

Supreme are pleased to announce the acquisition of the brands of SCI-MX Nutrition Limited, a leading sports nutrition and supplements business.

The acquisition of SCI-MX add a number of leading and long-established retail brands to the Supreme Group’s growing Sports Nutrition & Wellness category across protein powders and supplements. It will also enable Supreme to leverage the SCI-MX and PRO2GO brands to grow existing relationships with retailers.

Liberty Flights

Supreme excitedly announced the acquisition of Liberty Flights. Founded in 2010, Liberty Flights specialises in premium e-liquid and high-quality vaping devices.

This acquisition is firmly in line with Supreme’s strategy to support a tobacco free UK by offering both credible and safer alternatives for nicotine consumption.

The combination of Liberty Flights and Supreme’s existing vape offerings couldn’t be more aligned and is highly complementary across our respective manufacturing, product, and customer profiles.

Millions & Millions

Supreme are delighted to announce the launch of Millions & Millions, our newest Vitamin and Minerals brand.

Designed specifically for families with a wide range of products on offer, Millions & Millions has successfully launched into Poundland, The Range and Savers, and will be available online at our own website and Amazon.

Supreme Welcomes Vendek (Powerline)

In June 2021, Supreme announced the acquisition of Vendek Limited (trading as Powerline), a leading Dublin-based distributor of batteries and lighting products under the Osram, Panasonic and Duracell brands and servicing some of the country’s leading retailers across DIY, hardware, convenience, and petrol stations.

Introducing Sealions

Supreme announces its online-only UK health and wellness brand, Sealions, offering accessible vitamin and wellness supplements for all ages and nearly 70% cheaper than some of the leading wellness brands.

Available to purchase online at sealions.com, Sealions’ products have been created in the UK by BRCGS-accredited suppliers.

Provider Cash & Carry

We are delighted to welcome Provider Cash & Carry to the Supreme Imports family.

Blackburn based Provider Cash & Carry specialise in selling household goods and toiletries, and we are excited to expand this category more with Supreme.

Supreme PLC

After a successful IPO, Supreme PLC is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.

The funds raised will fuel the company’s ongoing growth, enabling Supreme to make further inroads into manufacturing, distribution and new product development, whilst offering our customers the best value for money across our key categories.

2020

Can’t Stop Growing

Supreme continues to grow across all 5 key categories – batteries, lighting, vaping, sports nutrition and household essentials…

Our Sports Nutrition category was enhanced by the acquisiton of Battle Bites, a leading name in the protein bar market. We also completed the purchase of AGP Trading, a leading name in the European lighting market, and Provider Distribution, who will further enhance our household essentials range. The acquisition of these established businesses allows us to expand our catalogue even further into the protein, toiletry and lighting sectors.

2019

Hitting Milestones

Supreme sells over 300 million batteries, 65 million light bulbs and 1 million light fittings each year.

Supreme expands the VN Labs manufacturing facility which now makes 250,000+ bottles of e-liquid a day. This will make VN Labs the largest manufacturer of e-liquid in the UK, with their e-liquids being stocked in over 10,000 retail outlets across the country.

To support our customer success we ran a £2 million marketing campaign for 88vape, which saw branded billboards and busses nationwide.

A growing customer base now includes nationwide retailers ASDA, Costcutter, Halfords, Home Bargains and Aldi, as we service 6,000 accounts each month.

Our past is something we can be proud of, but it’s our future successes that we really look forward to.

2019

LED Hut Join Supreme

In June 2019, Supreme acquired the assets of lighting supplier LED Hut to further enhance our range of products in the consumer and trade lighting space.

Supreme also acquired certain assets of Monocore, which includes the Go Nutrition brand.

GoNutrition acquired by Supreme

In June 2019, Supreme one of the UK’s fastest-growing Sports Nutrition brands, Go Nutrition. Created by Oliver Cookson (founder of Myprotein), the brand was launched in 2013 positioning itself in the market as a nutrition brand rather than a protein brand. GoNutrition was lead and will continue to lead, with a ‘transparency first’ ethos.

2018

Sports Nutrition Venture

During 2018, Supreme acquired the assets of Shannon Protein Technologies for £100,000 to begin a new and exciting venture in Sports Nutrition.

Later in the year, Supreme acquired the assets of Protein Dynamix, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers in Sports Nutrition. Supreme now stocks the entire range of accessories, snacks, protein powders and supplements.

As well as 2 other major white-label contracts, Supreme wins the licence to distribute Sports Nutrition Products under the Pure Gym name. Pure Gym is Britain’s largest gym chain with over 1 million members.

The range launched in 2019.

Reaching New Heights

Clean Room Facility Complete

The VN Labs Ltd cleanroom facility is completed, allowing us to mix and bottle vaping e-liquids on site in Trafford Park.

Vaping Market Growth

88vape launched in 2015, taking the vape market by storm with two core principles; unrivalled pricing and high quality throughout. We launched our revolutionary £1 e-liquid under the 88vape brand to further cement our place in the market.

Electronic Cigarettes is now one of the largest global markets and since being introduced to the UK the vaping market has grown at a formidable rate. 88vape has burgeoned throughout this period with year-on-year growth.

2012

Launching KiK

Supreme enters the vaping and electronic cigarette marketplace with the launch of KiK. E-liquid manufacturing started in December 2012 in our Trafford Park, Manchester premises. Our premium vaping range is now stocked throughout the country and has triggered even more expansion, as you’ll see below…

VN Labs Formed

Supreme begins manufacturing E-liquids and other wellness products such as protein powder, vitamins and supplements in our own VN labs facilities in Trafford Park, Manchester.

2009

Diversifying Supreme

A takeover is completed to integrate into Lazoron PLC and Eurobatteries.com to further increase our market share in batteries, generating revenues of 12 million.

By now, Supreme also sells over 50 million light bulbs each year thanks to deals with Eveready.

2005

Continued Growth

Supreme now sells over 260 million batteries to 3,600 live accounts across Europe.

The Trafford Park site is extended to encompass 88,000sq/ft of warehouse space and offices as we continue to expand.

By investing in IT infrastructure, Supreme now operates a fully paperless warehouse and office, along with a fully online ordering system.

2003

Handing Over The Reins

Following decades of hard work, GS Chadha retires and Supreme is purchased by his son Sandy Chadha, who has spent a decade as the company’s managing director.

With the company’s future now secured, Supreme looks for even greater opportunities to grow the business

2001

Reaching #1

Supreme is now the UK’s biggest battery distributor, selling 100 million batteries to 2,100 live customers. The company continued to expand with a move into a new 45,000sq/ft distribution centre in Trafford Park where sales increased to £28 million per year.

Supreme Imports also acquires Sheffield’s MCG International Ltd, a £5 million business in the photographic sector.

1998

Securing Distribution Agreements

Supreme secures official UK distribution agreements with Duracell, Eveready, Energizer and Kodak.

Deals with a range of retailers allow us to sell over 50 million batteries per year and expand the company.

As a result of our successes, the company moves to a purpose-built depot in Trafford Park and begins to build a strong management team. By the turn of the century, Supreme has signed a distribution agreement with Samsung batteries and is delivering profits of over £1 million per year.

1991

Entering The Battery Market

Supreme enters the battery market after stumbling upon samples at a trade show. Operating from a 3000sq/ft warehouse, we sign distribution agreements with Panasonic and achieve annual sales of £2.2 million.

1975

Founding

Supreme is founded by GS Chadha. Operating from a mobile van, Mr. Chadha achieves annual sales of £250,000 selling toys and watches at seaside resorts.
