In the most recent 2021 Evidence Summary Report but Public Health England, it was stated that “Using a vaping product is the most popular aid used by people trying to quit smoking. In 2020, 27.2% of people used a vaping product in a quit attempt in the previous 12 months.”
“Vaping is positively associated with quitting smoking successfully. In 2017, over 50,000 smokers stopped smoking with a vaping product who would otherwise have carried on smoking.”
The review also found that in every region of the country, quit rates among adult smokers were found to be higher with the use of a vape than other products, ranging from 49% success in the South West to 78% in Yorkshire and the Humber.
“This latest data, which the review is based upon, provides incontrovertible evidence as to the importance of vaping to successful smoking cessation and the nation’s public health.”
We are delighted to contribute to this huge step forward in the industry, and look forward from what’s to come in the next review.
