Recycling your old electricals is easy!

Recycle your electricals for free at your local recycling banks. To find your nearest recycling bank, visit the Recycle More website and type in your postcode.
Why recycle?
In the UK, unwanted electrical items and equipment is the fastest growing type of waste to be filling our landfills.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled within the aim of saving our natural resources and reducing the impact that disposing electrical items has on our environment. The result of not recycling your electrical equipment is they end up in landfills where hazardous substances leak out into our soil and water supplies, harming wildlife and potentially human health.
We’re proud to support your local authority in providing local recycling facilities for electrical equipment.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of electrical items in order to reduce the amount of electrical items landing in landfills.
How are we helping?
In the UK, distributors and retailers have an obligation to provide a system to customers buying new electrical equipment an option to recycle their old electricals free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by financially supporting the national network of WEEE recycling centres established by local authorities. This is achieved through membership of the national Distributor Take-back scheme (DTS).
